Integrated Management System

Energy Resources LLC became the first company in Mongolia’s mining sector to implement an Integrated Management System across its operations since 2018, fully aligning with:

Sustainability policy

In addition to the ESG committee that operates under the Board of Directors of both the Group and the Company, we have a dedicated, independent ESG unit, and our policies, strategic direction and performance are reviewed and approved annually at Board level. In 2023, Energy Resources LLC became the first Mongolian company to adopt the Mining Association of Canada’s globally recognized Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM) program. We independently completed and reported a self-assessment of our operations, and our annual assessments are publicly available on the Mining Association of Canada’s website.

Stakeholder engamement

At Energy Resources LLC, we strive for long-term sustainable development by actively engaging all direct and indirect stakeholders, fostering two-way communication, and building enduring mutual trust. In our engagement with stakeholders and interested parties we value approaches that are simple, accessible and suited to their needs, and that take account of local characteristics, traditions, customs and culture. Energy Resources LLC maintains a comprehensive list of all potential stakeholders and interested parties within its core operational documentation to support structured engagement. In 2025, the Company updated and disclosed two key policies to the local community and the public: the Stakeholder Engagement Policy and the Policy on Identifying Stakeholders’ Needs and Expectations, which includes mechanisms for grievance management and resolution.

Key principles

In implementing the Integrated Management System, we focus on the following key principles.

Comply with all applicable Mongolian laws and regulations, as well as internationally accepted standards.

Identify, assess, and control potential health, safety, and environmental risks affecting our employees, contractor personnel, and local community members.

Align product quality with customer requirements by implementing risk-based process controls and continuously improving customer satisfaction.

Foster a culture where creating a healthy, safe workplace and eliminating negative environmental impacts is the personal responsibility of every employee.

Managers at every level act as leaders of the integrated management system and set an example for employees.

We organise training on the integrated management system for employees, contractors and local community.

We take every measure necessary to prevent industrial accidents and environmental breaches. If an accident does occur, we investigate it and take action to eliminate the risk and prevent any recurrence.

Conduct regular internal evaluations and audits, ensuring any identified non-conformities are promptly remediated.

Evaluate and review employee performance and contributions regarding the Integrated Management System.

Follow the principle of using natural resources involved in our operations efficiently and sustainably.

Maintain this policy as a publicly available document applicable to Energy Resources LLC, its affiliated and subsidiary companies, and their contractors.
